With its rich brown and blue tones Great Tew Ironstone can be used for coursed building stone, random walling, architectural masonry and landscaping projects. Please see our products below.
Sawn, split & tumbled
This coursed material is available in the following standard heights: 65mm, 90mm, 115mm, and 140mm. Custom heights can be produced upon request. The stone is cut from the block, then cropped to produce the face and tumbled to create a natural aged finish.
Our sawn, split, and tumbled stone is stacked on new pallets. Each pack contains 6m² and shrink-wrapped to aid transport and storage onsite.
Authentic looking
Coursed building stone with a dressed finished to give that aged look and feel. An ideal option for extensions and renovation work. As seen and used in many conservation heritage projects.

Ironstone Walling (Random)
During the production of our building stone, some pieces fall outside our standard bed depth tolerance, these stones are cropped to random lengths and bagged separately and are named Tew 2nds. With their rustic appearance, they are well-suited for extensions, garden walls, and other characterful masonry projects.
