Stone selection
Choosing the right stone and finish to use on any build can be a daunting task. With our wealth of experience we can advise you on the best stone for your project with attention to detail regarding the stone’s suitability, performance, frost testing, costings and installation procedures. We are happy to site visit for stone and colour matching as well as, providing samples and sample panels for consideration and planning applications.
Throughout the development we will endeavor to work alongside you and your architect to produce the finest quality items, that are fit for purpose.
Stonemasonry CAD design
Our design team can work with your drawings from multiple sources including PDF, .DWG and .DXF files. Alternatively, if requested we are more than happy to create our own drawings for your project. We can site visit, conduct our own measurements and head back to the drawing board for a detailed breakdown of the options, costings and lead times.

Coursing plans
We will provide a detailed breakdown of the plans to consider factors such as jointing lines, weathering, installation methods, costings, durability and most important the viability. As stone is a natural material all these factors need to be thoroughly assessed.
Once stone is cut and finished GSS can provide a coursing plan detailing all the stones and their orientation, reducing installation time and errors.
Primary & Secondary sawing
Once all details are confirmed we take the block from the desired quarry and start cutting down to size. Once we have the block size we will then start profiling the stone to meet your specifications.
Stonemasonry team
Our stonemasons will hand finish stones if necessary and then the team will individually quality check all stones before palleting.
All stones can be labelled for ease on site and if desired stones will all be securely wrapped ready for collection or transportation.
Transportation
We are more than happy to arrange transport using our trusted list of local haulage companies. Details such as access and onsite lifting equipment will need to be considered prior to booking. All deliveries are roadside, unless prior arranged.
